Training
'Books for All' courses offer hands-on, practical courses in creating accessible learning resources in a variety of formats. As well as courses in Edinburgh at CALL Scotland, we can also deliver the CPD in your school or local authority. Contact us for details.
We have also developed a four-day course, split into two 2-day sections, for staff involved in making materials in accessible formats. The first two days were held in Stirling Management Centre on September 29 and 30th, 2009, and 25 participants from across the country attended. The course was repeated in February and March 2010 for another 15 participants. There was no cost to participants (apart from travel): the courses were funded by Learning and Teaching Scotland (LTS). It is not clear whether funding or subsidy for similar events will be made available from LTS or the Scottish Government for 2010-11: contact us for details if you are interested in Books for All CPD.
